Compatibility This replacement ozone plate is compatible with the following units: pureAir1500 BLS12K MCI22K MCI PureSynAIRg The purification plate, a.k.a, "Ozone Stick," produces Activated Oxygen (Ozone) when using the purification settings and/or "AWAY" mode. Activated Oxygen (Ozone) Output: 0 - 360 mg/hr (optional usage) Effective Area: 250 - 2,200 ft2 Replacement: For maximum efficiency of your unit, replace every 12 months of constant use* IS IT WORKING? When the air purifier is on, the purification plate should have a dim purple glow when looking through the front grille of the unit (best viewed in a dark room). The purification plate can also be detected by smell unless it is set on Level 0. Level 0 uses only DBI, PCO, and Ionizaition Technology. Purification level is controlled by the remote and adjusts the output of Activated Oxygen (O3) produced by the purification plate. Four levels are available and will be signified by varying colors on the control panel (see below). In High Mode (LEVEL 3), the purification plate generates ozone to assist in breaking down contaminates in the air and on surfaces. For faster cleanup, the machine can be set to AWAY MODE which has a 2 hour auto-shutoff timer feature. This allows the machine to generate maximum output when the room or home is unoccupied. Please allow 2 hours after away mode has shut off before reentering the space. Level 0 (0 - 250 ft2): LED is OFF Level 1 (250 - 500 ft2): LED is GREEN Level 2 (500 - 1000 ft2): LED is YELLOW Level 3 (1000 - 1500 ft2): LED is RED CAUTION: Never adjust the setting to exceed the square footage of the ventilated space being treated. AWAY MODE Away Mode is used to treat the toughest odors in your space with higher levels of Activated Oxygen and Ionization. To activate, press the AWAY MODE button on the control panel or remote. Away Mode is active for 2 Hours before automatically reverting back to previous settings. Please allow 2 hours after away mode has shut off before reentering the space. CAUTION: DO NOT use Away Mode in an occupied space. Prolonged exposure to Activated Oxygen may result in temporary respiratory or eye irritation. WHEN & HOW TO CLEAN *WHEN: The ozone stick only needs cleaning every 3 months. For maximum efficiency of your unit, replace every 12 months of constant use under normal conditions, more often if used in a harsh environment (smoking area, kitchen, pet area, etc.). HOW: Using a 50/50 mix of warm water and clear ammonia, soak the purification plate for 1-8 hours. Using a soft-bristle brush, scrub the metal center. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry completely before reinstalling. Please refer to the owners manual for complete details.
